Provoleta

Provoleta is grilled provolone cheese – something you’ll always find in an Argentinean barbecue! It makes a mouthwatering appetizer served alongside some bread and a dab of chimichurri sauce.

  • Heat a charcoal grill and place a small cast iron skillet with the provoleta. Cook it to perfection, allowing it to brown and bubble for approximately 3-4 minutes per side. You’ll know it’s ready when the cheese achieves a tempting golden color and becomes irresistibly gooey in the center. Meanwhile, prepare the chimichurri sauce.
  • Once the provoleta is cooked, carefully transfer it to a serving plate. Then, generously spoon the prepared chimichurri sauce over the top, allowing the flavors to intermingle and elevate the overall experience.
  • Serve the provoleta as an appetizer, accompanied by slices of crusty bread.
