Celebrating Women
On International Women's Day we reflect on the call for change and celebrate acts of courage and determination by women. I want to share the stories of Afghan women whom I admire. It takes a lot of bravery for women to resist and challenge the status quo. Especially in Afghanistan where the regime is one that is based on gender apartheid. Yet there are many who voice themselves through activism and art. I want to share the stories of Afghan women whom I admire.
To the strong women of Afghanistan, we haven't forgotten you and we will work each day to help empower you.Â
